About Mapi

Mapi González is a multidisciplinary artist and creative professional whose work spans textured abstract painting, bold graphic art, visual design, and brand storytelling. Shaped by Venezuelan colors and culture from her foundational years, Spanish passion from her roots, and American work ethic from her professional formation, she carries three worlds in everything she creates.

She holds a B.S. in Engineering from Boston’s Wentworth Institute of Technology (2014), studied art at Boston University, and is a Startup Institute alum in the Marketing and Web Design tracks (2016). She began freelancing that same year and has focused more seriously on abstract art since 2020, channeling that cross-disciplinary background into work that bridges analytical precision with raw creative expression.

Her fine art practice centers on 3D textured paintings — handmade works where layers of paint build physical dimension, creating pieces that shift and transform with changing light. Each painting is a one-of-a-kind original, crafted with an obsessive attention to texture, tone, and composition.
